January - February Update
Hi! everyone and Happy New Year. I apologize for not posting sooner or updating our Newsletter page. As many of you know end of December, beginning of January is very busy for us, me especially. We're getting ready for and doing inventory, preparing for CHA and attending, getting our financial ducks all in a row and trying to decompress from the holidays, whew!
Because of this I decided to take something off my plate for the month and skip my newsletter update. I also decided I wanted to research new web page options to make our web page more user friendly for you and for us. My daughter Jessica has been a huge help in taking much of our weekly posting off my plate and Jess is taking an active role in researching our website/blog/email options. We are hoping to have a new webpage available to you all this spring. Please bear with us as we work on bringing you a new and improved website and other social media platforms. It's a new year and we're working on making it a better year for you all! Thank you again for all your support.

NOTE: My original column for this months newsletter:
Happy New Year! – Changes! We are switching things up a bit and going for a new look. Sharon has decided to retire from writing a column each newsletter so it’s up to me to keep up a narrative of what’s new and exciting at the store and what new things we have planned for you all. As many of you know, I have no trouble running off at the mouth so this shouldn’t be too hard a gig for me.
After a very, very hectic 2016 we’re getting ready for what we hope is a much more manageable and less frenetic 2017. That does not mean we plan on slowing down any we just won’t have as many outside commitments to add to our plate. First up is CHA this month. Sharon and Mark will be flying out the end of the month to the annual Craft and Hobby Association show to see all the latest and greatest our hobby has to offer. It’s such a fun event and crammed with lots of stamping, scrapbooking and crafty goodness. It’s also a great opportunity for Sharon to meet the designers, owners and representatives of many of your favorite companies and get great tips and techniques for using their new products. She always comes back with a literal suitcase of ideas, samples and surprises for us.
We’re hoping to start a feature, “Our Favorite Products” this year, showcasing products that each of us here at BSS love and cannot do without. Our blog is still going strong and we will continue to post on Facebook and Instagram, in addition to our weekly e-mails featuring sales, new product and classes coming up. Speaking of which, we have a great selection of new classes planned for you!
ATC’s for 2017Did you know we have an active ATC group here at BSS? Make 6 ATCs featuring that month’s theme. Keep one and bring the rest to the store by the end of the month in a marked plastic sandwich bag. We will divide all the ATC’s received and you can pick up your bag shortly after the first of the next month. New themes for 2017 to be announced.
We would like to remind you that the
class cancellation policy asks for 24-hour notice to cancel a class.
Please do not cancel through the email. Also, we would like to ask you to
cancel if you are sick. If you are unable to cancel 24 hours ahead of
time, please call anyway, and if a class kit is available, please pick up a kit
as soon as you are able.
