Class Descriptions


All classes require that you have attended the beginning stamp class, or have basic stamping knowledge. Please read the 'class policy' listed at the end of this class list. It is imperative that you bring your Basic Kit to each class. Before attending class, please check the website for any additional supplies that may be needed. We will attempt to post supply lists for all of the classes within 48 hours of the first session. There is a 10% discount offered on class-specific items, only. This discount does not apply to basic supplies, unless they are used in a technique specifically taught during that class.

Basic Stamping Kit
A permanent black dye ink pad, assorted markers/colored pencils, a quickie glue pen, a pencil, a ruler, an eraser, scissors, an exacto knife & cutting mat, double-sided tape, a craft pad, a brown ink pad with a distressing tool, one clear and one black gel pen, a clear Wink of Stella pen, foam tape, and your favorite paper adhesive.


Basic Scrapbook Kit
​12” paper trimmer, scissors, fine fussy cutting scissors, an exacto knife & cutting mat, a brown ink pad with a distressing tool, a 12” ruler, a variety of adhesives (including a tape runner), liquid glue or a glue stick, foam pop squares, a pencil and an eraser.​



Beginning Copics
Let us demystify Copic markers for you. Learn the numbering system and how it helps you combine colors for successful blending and coloring. Bring your Copics, Basic Kit and check the web site for any additional supplies you may need.

Intro to
Stencils
Stencils are enjoying a renaissance in the card making world with everything from classic patterns to multi layered stencils. Join Sharon as explains how to use stencils using ink and pastes. You will end with three cards and a storehouse of knowledge and ideas for how to use the versatile stencil. You will also get a stencil kit including two blending brushes, a 3 piece stencil, 5 mini ink pads and low profile adhesive. Bring your basic kit to supplement the kit that comes with the class.

Monthly Layout Class
Please join us for our monthly layout class for 2023. Each month we will present a 12x12” double page layout that features a new technique or product.  Check the Class Photo page for a picture of the current featured layout. What a great way to create an album.

Graphic 45 
We're going to switch it up to help show you the versatility of Graphic 45. While we love the vibrant colors and images of G45 it's sometimes hard to envision how to incorporate these collections in your cards. February's cards are a selection in a muted red, white and blue color palette reminiscent of classic quilting patterns. Bring your basic kit and check the website for any additional items you may need.

Watercolor Thursdays!
Welcome to the world of watercolors! This class runs once a month, on a Thursday, and will feature different watercolor mediums and techniques in each session. Please note this is an instructional class and will not always feature a card or a complete project. Even if you haven't attended previous classes but want to learn watercolors, come to class. We will help you get up to speed and show you all the techniques and variety of watercolor mediums. A Stampendous palette, #10 snap brush, and #2 or #3 round brush required. Please note that this session will be solely instructional on watercolor pencils and brush work. No cards will be made.

Magic Cards
What's old is new again! Donna was looking for an idea for a class and Sharon suggested Magic Cards. Several companies make kits or dies that create a magic card but one of the best is Lawn Fawn. In this class you learn how to use Lawn Fawn's die to create three cards also using Lawn Fawn stamps images. These are great cards and images for kids and adults. Bring your basic kit and check the website for additional items you will need.

Anemone Cards from Memory Box
These cards are just gorgeous! Memory Box has created a series of dies featuring the anemone flower. Sharon has adde simple colored enhancement along with a classic sentiment die to create four cards that can be used any number of ways. These cards are not cluttered up with excess elements. They illustrate that white space can be a very good thing as it sets of these graceful and elegant dies in the best way. Bring your basic kit along with ink pads as described in the Class Supply List page along with blending brushes or tools.

Quick & Easy Sympathy Cards
In this class we will be using a new paper from Photoplay along with some new floral dies from Pinkfresh to create 6 sympathy cards.  This kit also includes envelopes so you will have these cards on-hand when you need them.  Bring your basic kit along with your favorite brown dye ink pad and a blending tool.

Wherever Album
49 and Market has come out with another great paper and ephemera collection called Wherever. This collection features subtle travel themes and images in blues, greens and browns as the primary palette. This album is built on 49 and Market ringed binder and has pages with pockets, flaps and other design features to highlight your favorite vacation photos. Bring your basic kit and check the website for any other supplies you may need.  Also available as a kit with emailed instructions.

Book Page Paper Wreath
Sharon has wanted to expand our crafting to decor items. Lori has a great introductory project for us, a paper wreath made out of book pages. Built on an 8" foam circle with a final diameter of 12". Check out the photo in the Class photos section and join her for this new adventure in paper crafting. Check the website for supplies you need for this class and join us for this fun new chapter in our crafting journey.

Beginning Stamping

Come and learn the basic techniques of rubber and acrylic stamping! In this class you will learn the proper use of various stamp products along with several stamping techniques including embossing. All supplies are included.

Beginning Pencils 3.0
Many of our most favorite images are colored with Prismacolor Pencils. 
We are excited to now offer Faber-Castell Polychromos as open stock. We will show you how to color, blend, and achieve beautiful life-like colored images with these pencils along with our traditional Prismacolors. We have chosen a new selection of images to practice and learn color pencils.Bring your pencils and  basic kit and check the website for any additional supplies you may need.

Creating Happiness - Mixed Media Class
This is a recurring class that you can join at any time. Each month you will explore a different mixed media product and/or technique. Bring your own journal and create individual unique pages as you expand your mixed media knowledge and skills! New creators are always welcome! Check the website for any supplies you may need to bring with you, besides your journal and basic kit.

Maker Mania 9
MM9 is set to roll! Join us for Maker Mania 9 in Feb, 2024. If you are new to Maker Mania or have thought about trying it out, there's no time like this coming September. The lead sponsoring companies have not yet been announced but you will be getting a fabulous selection of quality, and in some cases exclusive products in your kit. You will have access to video from all the participating stores from across the country, Canada and possibly across the pond! Instructional sheets will also be at your fingertips for ALL the projects, cards, albums, and more shown. This allows you access to do a project the next day, the next month or 6 months from the MM8's dates. This is a great creative weekend for all you crafters and you will receive more than enough product such as papers, dies, stamps, stencils, coloring mediums, ephemera and more for many, many additional projects. This is a Facebook group. You must be a member of Facebook to join and receive a kit. NOTE: you can join Facebook and not post or publish any personal information and just use the platform to access this and other classes offered on Facebook. BONUS: As a member of Facebook you can join our store page, see our weekly videos and post your creations to our Buffalo Stamps Makers group. You control what information you choose to share to the platform. You can register for MM8 via our on-line store.

Class Reservation and Payment Policy

Reservations and payment are required for all classes. Classes are to be paid for in cash or check. Payment for classes can be mailed in or made in person. Classes that do not meet attendance requirements will be canceled and you will be notified by phone the day before. Any monies paid will be refunded or you can apply it to another class. If you cancel a class with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be required to pay for the class.
